About Me

My
Story
Born and raised in South Carolina, I am a husband, father of three, and a lifelong creator. I married my wife in 2006, and family has always been the foundation and driving force behind my work.
My professional journey with stone began in 2010 when I worked the night shift as a polisher in a granite shop. During that time, I observed a coworker transform leftover scrap stone into an ashtray. Intrigued by the process, I asked questions, learned the techniques involved, and attempted it myself. That experience marked the beginning of a lasting passion that extended far beyond the shop environment.
After two years, I stepped away from the industry and later returned in 2020 to work alongside my brother at the shop he manages. During this period, I developed a strong “how it’s made” mindset, gaining a deeper understanding of how different stones behave, how tools interact with each material, and how precision and attention to detail significantly influence the final product.
Inspired by other artists and guided by hands-on experimentation, I continued refining my craft independently. Over the past five years, my creativity, design skills, and technical expertise have grown substantially. What began as simple curiosity has evolved into a dedicated pursuit of transforming raw stone into functional art, with each piece reflecting experience, patience, and respect for the material.
